A total of 931 children with convulsive.disorder were observed after admission in Severance Hospital during the past 10 years period from January, 1961 to December, 1970.
The following results were obetained:
1. The total observed pediatric patients with convulsivedisorders were 98% of the total admitted pediatric patients during the above period.
2. The ratio of male to female was 2
3. The etiologic factors of convulsion were variable according to the age distribution. Neonatal tetanus was the most common one in neonatal period, but in the other age groups, central nervous system infection was the most common cause of convulsion.
4. The most frequent age group of convulsion was from one to three years of age, which was 29:5% of total convulsive disorder cases.
